the case modelled as a bookcase surmounted by the clock dial, and flanked by a standing classical maiden holding a book, raised on a rectangular plinth with ormolu relief of winged cherubs flanked by laurel wreaths and palmettes, the white enamelled dial with Roman numerals, the twin train movement with outside countwheel striking on a bell, with silk suspension,
