Qajar Iran, dated 1316 AH (1898)

Of circular shape, with a moulded calligraphic inscription in the central roundel, the date featured on the upper left-hand side, the inscription in white against a dark cobalt blue ground, the composition framed within concentric bands of intertwined split palmettes and beading, 39.5cm diam.

Inscription: In the name of Allah, the Knowledgeable, the Best of Names, the One that Bestows blessings.
