A Victorian sterling silver cheroot case, Birmingham 1844 by Nathaniel Mills

Of rectangular form with rounded corners and hinged lid. With all over engraved decoration of foliate scrolls against a background with striations. The front with a cartouche with engraved scene of greyhounds chasing a hare. The backside with similar scene of a hound chasing a grouse and a cartouche with inscription 'SNS to WS'. Fully and part-marked.

Length - 12 cm / 4.5 inches

Weight - 74 grams / 2.37 ozt
