An early 17th century German silver gilt twin handled cup, Augsburg 1625-1630 by David Roll (master 1605, d. between 1638-43)
Of tapering hexafoil lobed form upon a spreading circular foot, the sand cast and applied twin S scroll handles with additional protrusions. The front with engraved initials W.K.B. in simple script. Marked underneath with maker’s mark (Seling 1198) and town mark (Seling 51), assay scrape (tremolierstich) to foot rim edge.
