A GROUP OF SEVEN DECORATED SHELLS, 19TH CENTURY, including a nautilus shell carved with a reserve depicting a female figure smoking a pipe, engraved 'Souvenir De Noumea'; a mother of pearl cameo shell carved with a neoclassical female portrait in relief, in a scrolling frame with masks; two smaller shells with engraved portrait reserves in carved scrolling and hatched border; a carved conical conch shell; and two clam shells with painted flower still life studies to the interior.
