An early 20th century sterling silver and enamel compact

Of circular form, to a hinged lid. The top with painted enamel pastoral scene of courtship, depicting a shepherd teaching the flute to a maiden. The base with bluish green guilloche enamel. The gilt interior with fitted mirror and loose powder dispenser. Stamped Sterling Silver, Made in Austria. Maker's mark SI with globe inbetween to thumbpiece.

Diameter - 6.1 cm / 2.4 inches

Weight - 72 grams / 2.3 ozt
