A GPO ART DECO 200 SERIES JADE GREEN COLOURED BAKELITE DESK TELEPHONE, 1935, of pyramid form with an alphabet dial and matching green braided handset cord, the base marked FH35/LR B, the handset marked 'G.P.O P.L35/234 No.164', (earpiece cracked) with a spare mouthpiece, together with a GPO engineer's manual. Notes: The Art Deco 200 series telephones of the 1930s were usually issued in standard black bakelite. However affluent customers could order coloured models which attracted much higher rental rates. The jade green model is considered to be the rarest.
