Edward King-Tenison (1805-1878)

Edward King-Tenison was an Irish photographer. He started his career as a daguerrotypist, and later in the 1840s, he adopted the calotype process and the waxed-paper process. In 1853, King-Tenison joined the Photographic Society of London and had his work exhibited at the Great Industrial Exhibition in Dublin. In the following years, he traveled across Spain, Belgium, and Normandy. In 1855, ten of his prints were exhibited at the second exhibition of the London Photographic Society, all of which depicted castles, churches, and monasteries in Normandy.
