An American sixth plate (2¾ x 3¼ in) hand-tinted daguerreotype, of a baby with the eyes closed, in a light coloured dress, lying on a bed, in a plain brass matt, with oval aperture, lightly engraved around the margins, with Cooley Patentee stamp to lower margin, decorated brass preserver, velvet-lined, in a brown morocco case with floral decorations, missing upper case.
