Isfahan circa 1930
An early 20th century Persian (Iranian) unmarked silver teapot

Pahlavi dynasty. Of rounded ovoid form with a curved spout opposite a C scroll handle. The pull off domed lid surmounted by a ball finial with a loop for a chain attachment. Each side with chased monabbat-kari decoration of a cartouche of a Safavid courtly scene of dancing musicians with seated figures enjoying food and libations with lambrequins in the background. A similar scene repeated to the spout. The body with chased decoration of nightingales amidst foliage (gol-o bol bol).

Length – 20.5 cm / 8 inches

Weight – 490 grams / 15.75 inches
