signed twice, once with artist's insignia 'Helen Bradley' (lower left); inscribed 'George and I knew/that John Sam'els wife, Florrie/had called to tell Mother something/because she was looking sideways/and had wrinkled her nose, that, just/when she was beginning, Mother/said "Take the sugar bowl children/and ask Sarah to fill it" so/although we outside/the sitting room door. we didn't/fear anything except something/about miss Corees (who wore pink)' (upper left)
