A late 17th century German silver tumbler, Augsburg circa 1696-1700 by Paul Solanier (married 1666, d. 1725)

Of circular form with rounded base with indented centre. The top with incised bands zig-zag engraved with initials .M.S.W. above .2., incised concentric circles to base. Marked underneath with makers mark (Rosenberg 648), town mark (Rosenberg 199) and assay scrape.

Height – 4.7 cm / 1.75 inches

Weight – 58 grams / 1.86 ozt
