An antique Saryk carpet, Turkmenistan

Approx: 284cm. x 236cm. Classic for this type with three vertical columns of large hooked Salor guls divided by smaller Tekke guls.Typical colours, well balanced. This carpet has slight localized wear to the pile, down to knot collar and below in places, otherwise good pile. Selvages rebound, well done. Ends with original wide kilim and fringes. Despite inperfections, this carpet is in good usable condition. Seldom found type in sales. Very good square size, sought after at present market. The lenght of this carpet includes the kilim. Attractive and very good furnishing piece.
