A Louis XVI late 18^th century French silver beaker (timbale tulipe), Paris 1783 by François Corbie (reg. 5^th July 1777)

of flaring circular form on a short circular base with a gadrooned edge. Fully marked with the charge and discharge mark of Henri Clavel (reg. 31^st Aug 1782), date letter U (reg. 12^th July 1783), 959 standard, also with later marked with control mark for second standard Paris 1798-1809. Stamped underneath with initials SSC.
