An early 19th century Chinese export silver egg cruet

China trade period. The stand upon four shell capped ball feet with a galleried stand with central carrying handle with shell detail, a gadrooned and shell edge rings interspersed with egg spoon apertures, holding six egg cups. The top of carrying handle and each egg cup engraved with contemporaneous initials BO in cursive script. The stand and egg cup marked with pseudo hallmarks and retailer’s mark of a W.
