Victorian Kinora "Flip-Book" Optical Viewer. Launched by the Lumière brothers in the late 1800s, the Kinora uses numerous small photographs mounted in reels. When the side mounted handle is turned, the pictures are flicked through in sequence , giving the impression of movement. In good, working order with some play in the mechanism as usual with this model. Comes with a full reel of an aeroplane crash, #4419, and what looks like a magician at work, #285. Slight work required to each reel as neither completes a full rotation.
