An interesting group of 10 albumen prints cartes-de-visite, image size 9.5 x6.3cm. Subjects and studios include two portraits by C.T. Scowen of Ceylon scenes, each depicting a man standing in front of a house door, and a man next to his horse; two prints related to Maori studies; one print of the "Chinese Giant", by the Streoscopic Company, London; portrait of Miss Burdett Coutts, by Brandee Photo, Torquay; a portrait of American journalist and poet J.G. Whither (1804-1892), by A.W. Bennett, London; one of a black dog off centre shwoing its shadow; and two duplicates depicting a white dog sitting on a chair.
