An antique Talish rug, south Cacucasus

Approx: 232cm. x 103cm. Very good example for this type with elegant overall design and very good colour combination with soft ivory field. This rug has touches of slight wear to the top pile, down to knot collar and below in few very small places, otherwse good pile. Scattered very small old repairs, well done. Black is slight corroded. Selvages original, with scattered rebound on flat triple cord. Ends with short fringes, secured, one with slight loss to outer stripe. In general, this rug is in very good usable condition. Sendom found type in sales. Attractive and very good furnishing piece.
