A very fine part silk Tabriz rug, north-west Persia

Approx: 206cm. x 145cm. Very good example for this type with very nice floral design and very good colour combination on soft light begie field. This rug has full pile, very soft and lustrous wool quality together with silk infusion on the field and borders design. Field has slight discolouration- shading barely visible onthe face of the rug. Very fine weave, approx: 8 x 8 knots per sq. cm; woven on silk foundation. Selvages original. Ends with original kilim and fringes. In general, this rug is in very good condition throughout. Very good fiurnishing piece. Attractive. Signature cartouche at each end.
