Cutch, Bhuj circa 1890 by Oomersi Mawji
A late 19th century Anglo – Indian drawing for a silver dish

Raj period. A pencil on paper for a shaped oval dish with foliate scroll and beaded rim, a vacant centre with sides of chased foliate scrolls and rosettes. Annotated “Perforated Sweet Dish Silver 34 Tolas Rs 59:8 – 0”, “whole worked as photo”, and “turn over for side view”. Another verso and stamped Oomersee Mawjee/Silver Smith/Bhuj Cutch. Framed and glazed.

Frame – 50.5 x 40.5 / 19.8 x 15.75 inches
