TITANIC DISASTER. Hearing Before A Subcommittee of the Committee On Commerce United States Senate. Sixty-Second Congress Second Session Pursuant to S. Res. 283 Directing the Committee on Commerce to Investigate the Causes Leading to the Wreck of the White Star Line "Titanic" PART III. Washington: Government Printing Office, 1912. 8vo. (Staples rusting, offsetting to title page, two creases to title page, torn with loss, not affecting text, occasional light soiling). Provenance: Harold Thomas Cottam's copy, Cottam has inscribed his name to the top right hand corner of the title page . Harold Thomas Cottham (1891-1984),  wireless operator onboard the RMS Carpathia received the distress call from R.M.S. Titanic, the Captain of the Carpathia Arthur Rostron turned the ship around to go to the Titanic's aid. The report, of which this is a part,  details questions and testimonies by all witnesses.  Mr Cottam was called to give evidence on days 1, 2, 6 and 10 of the 18 day hearing.
