Corresponding to the military third rank, embroidered to the centre with a crouching leopard roaring at a red sun, surrounded by the symbols of the bajixiang and swirling clouds over crashing waves, all composed of tight 'forbidden' stitches on a dark ground, encircled by an archaistic border formed of gilt-couched thread
