Raj period. Of rounded circular form with a wavy rim all upon a circular pedestal foot. The main section with alternating bands of chased symmetrical foliate scrolls and rosettes with fruiting vine. The foot with chased foliate scrolls and rosettes and a band of stylised band of acanthus leaves. Each marked underneath W&O. (2)

The presently unidentified mark of W&O is not published in Wilkinson, W., (1999), Indian Silver 1858-1947: Decorative Silver from the Indian Sub-Continent and Burma Made by Local Craftsmen in Western Forms. London, Wynyard R T Wilkinson. This mark has also been noted on a silver mounted ostrich egg cup sold Olympia, 28 Sep 2025, lot 368 (£850 hammer). This mark joins other unidentified Cutch makers VK and DH, alongside other unpublished marks for Jaram Bachur, LG, and a TP mark.
