Karachi circa 1920
An early 20th century Anglo – Indian silver casket

Raj period. Of rectangular form with a hinged lid upon four claw and ball bracket feet. The lid with an embossed central scene of Imperial Bank of India, Karachi, reserved with Cutch type foliate scrolls and rosettes. The sides with architectural views of Karachi against a textured ground. Stamped underneath JARADI MOHANLAL. VASRAM. JUNAGHADH VALA. MADE IN KARACHI CAMP.

Length – 31.1 cm / 12.25 inches

Weight – 1071 grams / 34.43 ozt
