A late 19th / early 20th century Anglo – Indian silver cigarette box or casket

Raj period. Of rectangular form with a hinged lid with stepped sides. The lid with an embossed scene of lions attacking an elephant with a hunter with a spear, the sides with various hunting scenes, each with a rosette band. All over satinised decoration. Wooden interior to the base, gilt interior to lid. The underside stamped SILVER, T. P. R & Co BOMBAY incuse.
