Four hand-coloured aquatint views, from ‘Twelve views of places in the Kingdom of Mysore, the country of Tippoo sultan, from drawings taken on the spot’, including: ‘S.W. View of Ootra-Durgum’, ‘West View of Ramgherry’, ‘Pagodas at Maugry with a distant View of Sewandroog’ and ‘The Mausoleum of Hyder Aly Khan at Laulbaug’,

First edition, [Abbey Travel 419], on wove paper, with partial Whatman watermarks, one untrimmed, three with some edges trimmed to plate, a few short tears, minor spotting, plates c. 445 x 575 mm, for the Proprietor by Mr Thomson, 1793 (4)

***Colebrooke (1762-1808) was a surveyor with the Bengal Infantry and later Surveyor General of Bengal.
