Madras circa 1880
A late 19th century Anglo – Indian unmarked silver jewellery box

Raj period. Of rectangular form raised upon four bracket feet, the hinged lid with an inset glass top with chamfered edges, push button release. The body with chased decoration of rosettes between stylised acanthus leaves, between lozenge borders.

Length – 5.7 cm / 6.1 inches
