An early 20th century Chinese export silver teapot, Canton and Shanghai circa 1910, marked An Chang, retailed by Hung Chong of Shanghai
Qing dynasty. Formed as a prunus trunk section, with branch modelled spout opposite a handle modelled the same fitted with wooden insulators. The body with cast and applied flowering prunus, the hinged lid of conforming outline, with handle modelled as a branch section with applied prunus flowers to terrace. Marked underneath with artisan mark 安昌 (AN CHANG), retailer’s mark HC.
