A George II sterling silver chamberstick, London 1759 by William Cafe (reg. 16th Aug 1757)
Of shaped circular form, with gadrooned edge, the C scroll handle with engraved acanthus thumbpiece, all raised on three shell feet. The front engraved with an impaled coat of arms within a foliate oval cartouche. Fully marked underneath.
Length – 17 cm / 6.75 inches
Weight – 341 grams / 10.96 ozt
The arms are for possibly Pyne impaling Molyneux
