A fine part silk Kashan rug, central Persia

Approx: 207cm. x 137cm. Great overall design with scrolling leafy vines linking polychrome palmettes. Very good pastel colours with soft ivory border. This rugn has full pile, very soft and lustrous wool together with part silk on field and border. Fine weave, 7 x 7 knots per sq. cm; woven on silk warps. In general, this rug is in very good condition throughout. Attractive and very good furnishing piece.
