Howard’ and gift inscription dated 1883 to half-title, occasional staining, 2pp. advertisements at rear, yellow endpapers, loss to rear free endpaper, Todd’s first issue cloth, gilt and blind-stamped, a.e.g., spine cover split at lower joint and some loss to upper third, [Smith II 4], 8vo, Chapman & Hall, 1843; with a first edition of The Haunted Man and the Ghost's Bargain, original cloth gilt, splitting to spine, 1848 (2)
