A Victorian sterling silver amphora vase, London 1864 by Edward & John Barnard
Modelled after the antique, with engraved decoration of palmettes above a border of rosettes and circular bosses, the body with striated lines. Engraved cartouche with a crest of a stag's head gorged with a chaplet of laurel, above the motto In Veritate Victoria. The neck fully marked and stamped 819 underneath.
