Cast to one end with a mythical bird creature composed of scrolling and geometric motifs with a pair of sharp talons grasping the head of a large mythical beast, the protruding, almond-shaped eyes below arched brows and large ears, all intricately decorated with thin silver wire and gold inlay, the mouth issuing a curved shaft that tapers down towards a dragon head terminus, the hook decorated allover with finely-worked gold and silver inlay to depict swirls, scrolling and scaly patterns, and fur details, the underside with a similarly-decorated button,
