A Louis XVI late 18th century French provincial silver twin handled cup (coupe à deux anses), Burgundy region circa 1780

Of hemispherical form, upon a stepped shaped circular foot, with applied twin scroll handles and heart shaped lower junctions. The stepped base with chased decoration of a stylised guilloche band, and a shaped footrim. The rim engraved M^TE * JOLY * D * MONBY * L’ AN 3 DE LA LIBERTE. Marked once to the rim.
