A George III sterling silver argyle, London 1801 by Robert Hennell
Of cylindrical form with a hinged domed lid with gadrooned rims, the lid surmounted by a rosette knop finial. A curved side spout opposite a hot water lip with hinged lip. Lined interior. The side with a 20th century engraved coat of arms in an early George III style cartouche. Fully marked to the side, the lid and liner with maker’s mark and lion passant, the hot water spout lid with lion passant.
