A COLLECTION OF NEAR EASTERN AND NORTH AFRICAN MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS, 20TH CENTURY, comprising two small portable drums, the first with high tinned copper base, the latter with leather base, each 19cm diameter; an open tambourine without the stretched leather cover, the outer circle decorated with coloured woods marquetry work, 30.5cm diameter; a large tambourine with coloured woods-inlaid zig-zag fretwork band around the edge, metal rings to the inner part to create further noise, 38.5cm diameter; and a wooden flute, 73.5cm long.
