A George V sterling silver biscuit box, London 1927 by Garrard (Sebastian Garrard)

Of circular form upon four bracket feet, the hinged domed lid with a shaped thumbpiece with reeded rims, each side with a reeded swing handle with a shaped scroll junction. Engraved underneath with a presentation inscription reading “Bequeathed by Dorothy Viscountess St Cyres to John Macbead in gratitude and friendship 20^th September 1936”. Stamped underneath ‘Garrard & Co Ltd, Abermarle St London.W. Fully marked to the base bezel and part-marked to the lid.
