A Victorian Scottish sterling silver sugar caster, Edinburgh 1894 by John Crichton and Co
Of cylindrical lighthouse form upon a fluted domed foot, with a bayonet fitted domed lid surmounted by a fluted compressed knop finial. Embossed decoration of C scrolls forming cartouches containing birds with foliage interspersed with floral sprays, scallop shells and lattice work reserves, a vacant cartouche to the front. The lid with engraved lattices and folate scrolls. Fully marked to the side, part-marked to the lid bezel.
