A BALOUCH RUG, NORTH-EAST PERSIA, approx: 254cm. x 154cm. Very nice design with eight floral prayer panels and running-dog inner stripe, rather unusuall for this type. Typical colours which are well blended. This rug has localized wear, down to knot collar and below in places. Brown is slightly corroded. Selvages original with fraying on wool cord in small places. Ends with wide embroidered and striped kilim, one with few small holes. In general this rug is in good usable condition. Attractive piece.
