the arched case with boxwood stringing and gilt brass lion mask ring handles to the sides, on four ball feet, the silvered dial with Roman numerals, signed 'BIRCH & GAYDON 133 FENCHURCH ST LONDON', the single chain fusee timepiece movement with shouldered plates, the backplate signed 'BIRCH & GAYDON 133 FENCHURCH ST LONDON', with pendulum, case key and winder,

This clock is in working order and recently serviced.

Birch & Gaydon are listed on page 72 of Brian Loomes’ Watchmakers and Clockmakers of the World: Complete 21st Edition’ as working in Fenchurch Street, London from 1881 until 1933.
