A DEVOTIONAL INDIAN BRONZE HANGING OIL LAMP WITH GANESHA ICONS
Possibly Northern India or Himalayan Foothills, 17th - 18th century
Of square shape, resting on a stepped base, imitating a temple shrine or architectural pavilion, with four drop-shaped flaming oil containers projecting on each side enhanced with icons of the Hindu god Ganesha, surmounted by a bulbous dome, rows of cusped palmette leaf bronze pendants decorating the base, approximately 36cm high.
