A pair of mid-20th century Iranian (Persian) silver tea glass holders, coasters and spoons, Isfahan circa 1960
Pahlavi dynasty, the holders of cylindrical form with cavetto feet. The shaped rims chased monabbat-kari decoration of flower heads, the bodied with engraved ghalam zani decoration of peony cartouches flanked by long tailed birds interspaced with shaped vignettes all against a textured ground. The circular coasters with engraved decoration of a central medallion with interlaced strapwork edged with a rosette border. Each holder fitted with a clear glass liner with wheel engraved decoration. The saucer marked with standard mark (84) and for retailer Jahrami جهرمی, one holder marked for with retailer Jahrami جهرمی, and workshop mark of Jahrome جهرمئ the other holder marked with standard mark (84) workshop mark for Bagher Parvaresh (c.1910-1978, master 1928) and a retailer’s mark. The spoons each stamped with standard mark (۸۴) and for Parvaresh. (6)
