An Alexander III late 19^th century Russian 84 zolotnik parcel gilt silver cigarette or cigar box, Saint Petersburg 1890 by A.C

Of rectangular form with a hinged lid raised by a simple thumbpiece. The exterior with engraved decoration of trade labels, gilt, as well as initials AF and dated 7/VIII 35, all against a satinised ground. The lid interior with engraved signatures. Gilt interior. Marked to the lid bezel and base for assayer Aleksandr Shevyakov. Also marked with later Latvian marks for post-1922 by Jüliis Blüms (Riga 1873-1932).
