An early 20th century Ceylonese (Sri Lankan) unmarked silver lime box, Kandy circa 1910
of shaped cartouche form with a hinged domed lid, the lid chased with two hamsa ducks flanked by makara with a Kirtimukha mask above, amidst foliate scrolls. Foliate scrolls and cartouches to sides. The underside flat chased with four entwined hamsa ducks encircled, all reserved with foliate scrolls.
