A fair-conditioned, boxed Troughton & Simms Brass Transit Theodolite, with compass dial measuring 4.5 in, and three spirit levels in excellent condition. When lock is released the compass dial moves freely and accurately, the outer circle of the compass has a rack and pinion adjustment and moves smoothly. On the underside, there is provision for mounting a tripod, overall box measures (10 x 9 x 41/2 in) 25.5 x 23 x 11.5cm
