A JAPANESE SILVER BOX AND COVER. Meiji period. Of rectangular shape, the cover inset with five shakudo kozuka inlaid in silver, shakudo, and gilt on nanako ground, with various designs including dragonflies beside a stream, samurai on the shore, flying cranes, the sides engraved with the ‘bird-and flower’ motif signed Hideori, 7 x 9.4 x 6.5 cm. 銀製小箱 銘 秀則刻 明治時代
