A Napoleonic era British Royal Navy officer's dirk and scabbard. The double-edged blade with central fuller (30cm long). Brass hilt and scabbard with traces of original gilding, dish-shaped guard and grip with banded decoration. The scabbard engraved with two unusual serpents facing each other, tongues out. Overall 40cm.
