Bears inscription O.D in pen and black ink to the lower edge.

In her piece on the collection Dandini-Targioni, Silvia Benassai (1) recalls that a group of 150 sheets was offered at auction in 1931 at Parsons &Sons, London (2) and was dispersed between public and private collections. All sheets carried an inscription in pen and black ink on the lower edge of each sheet with the initials of the drawings' authors, all belonging to the Dandini family.

The initials O.D on the present sheet are similar to those on one in the British Museum (C.D, inv number 1930,0414.16).
