An large group of magic lantern slides (approx. 300) depicting early 20th century Indian scenes and landscapes, each measuring 85 x 85mm, some hand-tinted, some with handwritten manuscript titles affixed to glass and edges. Subjects include landscape, aerial, and architectural views of Delhi, Benares, Bombay, Bangalore, Agra, and a large group of Calcutta views; some from professional studio 'tour' series, some amateur scenes with no attribution. Also includes (7) slide with illustrations of historical Indian emperors (six hand-tinted).
