A GERMAN PORCELAIN SNUFF BOX, third quarter 18th Century, of circular bombé shape, painted in Meissen style in monochrome puce with four harbour scenes depicting merchants and their wares by a quayside with buildings and boats in the distance, each within moulded scrollwork cartouches, a similar scene to the cover, a sailing boat to the base, the inside of the cover with a landscape scene depicting a courting couple and animals beside a tree stump, with a solid gilt interior and gilt metal mounts, 7.9cm diameter (faint hairline crack to the side, typical minor wear to gilt interior)
